AlMawred Education Services in collaboration with Navitas, a leading global education provider hosted an event “Study in the UK Session” on June 12, 2015 at Words BookstoreCafe to provide prospective students an insight on what it is like to study in the UK. What made our event special is that a lucky winner was going to receive 3000 pounds scholarship to kick-start his/her studies in a university of their choice! Navitas is global education provider that delivers a range of educational services to more than 120 colleges in 27 countries. The Universities that participated under Navitas’ umbrella are; the University of Hertfordshire, Plymouth University, Birmingham City University, University of Portsmouth, Swansea University, Anglia Ruskin University and Edinburgh Napier University. This event was focused mostly on undergraduate students to equip them with all they need to know about studying abroad.

We’ve invited three alumni from different universities in the UK to share their experience on studying and living abroad. First was Ahmed Hamada who pursued his masters in Anglia Ruskin University, Mohammed Al Raeesi who studied in the University of Portsmouth and finally Nikhil who studied in Birmingham. Each Alumni has shared his own perspective on what it’s like to study in the UK, in terms of the lifestyle, living cost, education, security, diversity, the clubs and support that they’ve received from the university and the Do’s and Don’ts. We loved watching the students interact and mingle with our alumni and asking questions, we can go on and on about the universities’ rankings and courses, but it’s nice to hear it from someone who has experienced it first-hand. Kim from Navitas and Naeema AlBalooshi from AlMawred Education were so thrilled to announce the winner of the raffle at the end of the event. Maram Al Aali, one of the attendees, was the lucky winner of a 3000 pounds scholarship to a university of her choice! Maram has applied to pursue a degree in Architecture at Birmingham City University International College. We wish her best of luck, and can’t wait to see where this would take her!
